Some middle school students in Castle Rock may be facing criminal charges for forwarding nude photos of their classmates through their cell phones. It was apparently part of a dare and investigators say as many as six female students took part. They say the photos may have been forwarded to as many as fifty people and administrators are now concerned those pictures may end up here on the Internet. Douglas Ernst.

For many women, those unwanted sexual advances start long before they are old enough to work. In a profile for The California Sunday Magazine 's "Teens Issue," longtime WW contributor Leah Sottile lays out the ongoing suffering of a year-old Portland girl, Nicole, whose phone will not stop buzzing with texts from other students demanding she send nude photos.
Law enforcement say they're investigating a lot of cases of nude photos being used for blackmail or other forms of control. But Gearman says it is something every parent needs to be aware of, perhaps even earlier than many people might think. But Captain Gearman says teens are not the only people sending and using nude pictures for control. Hegg says parents should outline their rights in a contract with their teen before they ever start using a cellphone. Hegg says that contract should also spell out the consequences if a parent does find that their child is using their cellphone inappropriately.
