A good friend of mine told me he was talking to a British 33 year old woman living in Accra Ghana with whom he met through and online dating site. She fell in love with him and her parents called him and told him that she wants to come visit him in America because she loves him. He asked me to find her a ticket but he didn't do so and suddenly she bought a ticket and showed him. I looked up he ticket which didn't have flight numbers but had correct flight arrivals the bar codes on the ticket looked exactly like the bar codes on a ticket that I found as a fraud online. He was excited for her to come but 10 hours later she text hime to say she was detained in Mexico because she smuggled her gold bars through illegally and needs to pay a fine so she can come into the US with those gold bars. I told him it was so fishy and probably a scam and to stop but I need for someone else to confirm This. Has anyone else had this situation happen to them? Can anyone please backv,E up and post that they think this is a scam too?. Very much a scam.

Updated May 31, These are the foot soldiers in a global scamming enterprise that's breaking hearts and stealing billions of dollars. In a tiny flat in Ghana, in west Africa, an aspiring entrepreneur trawls Facebook for divorced and widowed women on the other side of the world. The year-old, who calls himself Kweiku, is searching for 'clients' — scammer parlance for victims who can be conned online into sending money. Kweiku sells perfume on the streets of Ghana's capital, Accra, to maintain a meagre income between Western Union transfers from a woman he seduces online. He poses as a US soldier called 'Johnny', an online persona built on stolen photos, fake ID and stock scripts with storylines about urgent emergencies that can be solved with cash. While the Four Corners team is filming, Kweiku returns a missed video call from the woman and blocks his webcam with his finger so she can't see him. The conversation switches gears between declarations of love, sex talk and insistent requests for gifts and money.

I've been talking to this female from Ghana online for about 6 months she tells me consistently how much she loved me and wants me to pay for her Visa and passport which have already done and airline tickets to bring her hair what is the cost took bring I ghanian citizen to the US with a Visa To live here in the US for 57 or 10 years or is there a more inexpensive way to bring her here. To start of with, the chances of obtaining a visa is about zero, no amount of money will "buy" a visa, the US embassy staff are very much aware of romance scams, unless "she" has a VERY good reason to apply, there is no chance. IF "she" hasn't the finances and prove it to buy her own visa, then there will be no visa. Its a scam, you are being taken in, soon will be an accident, or medical emergency needing payment in advance, an accident "on the way to the airport", BTA, basic travel allowance, an imaginery "deposit" to pay on leaving the country, to be returned at some point. The fact that we get enquiries in this , and the Nigeria Forum, almost every week, indicates how widespread the problem with scammers is. The scammers prey on lonely vulnerable people and are totally ruthless in ripping those people off. What name is this person using? I could be the victim of this scam as well. Sounds like I should get out now before I lose any more money.
